Studioishness
My friend Parkie aka Rebecca Parkin, who is one of the best artists I know, has leant me a studio for a bit. It has been lovely to have some space where I can hang up my work coat, mother coat and cleaner/cook coat for a while and climb into my artists frock and ust let it all out. Here is a little glimpse of whats been going on...
Revealing
I think its is time to reveal the last portraits I did for the magazine Vestoj, they are of Christophe Lemaire and Margaret Howell. and then an amorphous portrait, because life is about experimenting and memories are layered, right?
i sewed Christophe, the day I found out Robin Williams had died and stayed up all night watching his movies while sewing, thank god I had already revisited (thoroughly) Mork and Mindy with my daughter before the sad news otherwise it would have had a sadness attached. Margaret was made accompanied by The Knife, obvs.
